Residential Care Fees and Charges<\/strong><\/h4>\n

During your time in residential care, you may be required to pay one or more of the following fees:<\/p>\n

Basic Daily Care Fee<\/strong><\/h5>\n

This fee is set by the Department of Human Services and is subject to increase twice a year\u2014in March and September. It applies to all<\/strong> residents, regardless of income or assets.<\/p>\n

Means-Tested Care Fee<\/strong><\/h5>\n

This fee is determined by the Department of Human Services or the Department of Veterans\u2019 Affairs, based on the outcome of your Income and Assets Assessment<\/strong>.
\nIf you choose not to complete this assessment, you may be charged the maximum fee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Accommodation Payment<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Your accommodation costs will also be based on your Income and Assets Assessment<\/strong>. Depending on your assessment outcome, accommodation fees may be:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Fully covered by the Australian Government<\/li>\n
  • Partially covered by the Government, with a contribution from you<\/li>\n
  • Fully paid by you<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Our accommodation pricing is outlined as below.<\/p>\n

    You may choose to pay the accommodation fee as:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • A lump sum (Refundable Accommodation Deposit \u2013 RAD)<\/li>\n
    • A daily payment (Daily Accommodation Payment \u2013 DAP)<\/li>\n
    • A combination of both<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      If you do not complete the assessment, you will be asked to pay the full cost of accommodation.<\/p>\n

      Additional Information<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n
        \n
      • Our fees are charged fortnightly in advance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      • Payment is by direct debit<\/strong>. A direct debit authority form will be provided on admission for you to complete.<\/li>\n
      • Pharmacy accounts<\/strong> must be arranged by the family upon admission. We use either Dennis Higgins or MAP Pharmacy in Fourways.<\/li>\n
      • Additional services such as a phone <\/strong>installed in your room or nametags <\/strong>will be included in your invoice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
